Politische Bildung wird in der Sozialen Arbeit zunehmend thematisiert, beispielsweise in Bezug auf Ziele wie Demokratiebildung, Demokratieförderung und Extremismusprävention oder auf Handlungsfelder wie Kinder- und Jugendhilfe und non-formale Bildung. Dabei wird im disziplinären Diskurs nicht nur eine unklare theoretische und konzeptionelle Verortung der politischen Bildung in der Sozialen Arbeit, sondern auch eine fehlende fachdidaktische Einordnung deutlich. Vor diesem Hintergrund fragt dieser Beitrag, wie politische Bildung im Studium der Sozialen Arbeit repräsentiert wird, um professionelles Handeln in diesem Bereich zu ermöglichen. Die Ergebnisse einer Modulhandbuchanalyse in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz werden vorgestellt und Implikationen für Forschung und Lehre der Sozialen Arbeit zur politischen Bildung diskutiert. \nPolitical education is increasingly discussed in social work, for example in relation to goals such as democracy education, promoting democracy or preventing extremism or to fields such as child and youth welfare and non-formal education. The disciplinary discourse not only reveals an unclear theoretical and conceptual positioning of political education in social work, but also a lack of didactic classification. Against this background, this article asks how political education is represented in social work studies to enable professional action in this area. The results of a module handbook analysis in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are presented and implications for research and teaching in social work on political education are discussed.
