Die soziale Konstruktion der Wirklichkeit in der Jugendhilfe

Zusammenfassung

Bei der Analyse empirischen Materials zur Entwicklung der Jugendhilfe stellt der Einzelfall den zentralen Bezugspunkt sowohl der sozialen Konstruktion der praktisch relevanten Wirklichkeit wie ihrer theoretischen Analyse dar. Deswegen ist zum einen die Soziale Arbeit in der Jugendhilfe professionalisierungsbedürftig und zum anderen die Fallrekonstruktion ein Hauptelement in der Untersuchung dieses Praxisfelds. Gezeigt werden soll dies an zwei kontrastierenden Fällen. Sie machen deutlich, wie unterschiedliche soziale Konstruktionen die Fallarbeit beeinflussen. Das gilt insbesondere für die typisierende Konstruktion eines "Milieufalls" und eines individualisierten "Familienfalls". Sie trifft sich mit den strukturellen Lebensbedingungen verschiedener regionaler Milieuwelten, die Hilfebedürftigkeit immer schon auf ihre Weise in einem spezifischen Deutungsmuster sozial vorkonstruieren. -- In analyzing empiric material on the development of youth welfare service, the individual case constitutes the central reference point, both as regards the social construction of the practically relevant reality as well as of its theoretical analysis. Accordingly, on the one hand, the social work in the frame of the youth welfare service is in need of being professionalized, and on the other hand the reconstruction of the case is a major element for the investigation of this field of practice. This shall be demonstrated using two contrasting cases. They will make evident how different social constructions will influence the case work. This is especially true for the typing constructions of a "milieu case" and of an individualized "family case". It will meet with the structural life conditions of different regional social environments, which always preconstruct the need for help in its own way in a specific pattern of interpretation. --
