Machteffekte in Innovationsdiskursen

Zusammenfassung

Innovationsdiskurse sind in der gegenwärtigen Gesellschaft zentraler Bestandteil bei der (Re-)Produktion sozialer Strukturen. Inwieweit strategische und nicht intendierte Machteffekte in Innovationsdiskursen wirken, ist allerdings nur unzureichend erforscht. In dem Artikel wird anhand von drei empirischen Beispielen gezeigt, wie die Implementierung von ökonomischen Wahrnehmungs- und Deutungsmustern als Machteffekt verstanden werden kann. These des Artikels ist, dass es aufgrund der persuasiv-positiven Konnotation in Kombination mit der semantischen Anschlussfähigkeit an ökonomische Logiken zu deren nicht konfrontativen Integration in verschiedene gesellschaftliche Bereiche kommt. Diskursperspektiven scharfen so für die Innovationsforschung den Blick für die diskursive Konstruktion von Innovationen und die daraus folgenden Machteffekte.

Innovation discourses are a central element of recent societies regarding their (re)production of social structures. Though regarding these innovation discourses the state of research does not consider the role of strategic and unintended power effects produced by them. So this article analyses through three empirical cases how the implementation of economical interpretative schemes (Deutungsmuster) can be understood as power effects. The article states that the persuasive-positive connotation of innovations along with the semantic connectivity with economical logics causes a non confrontative integration of latter into different social fields. Thereby discourse perspectives in innovation research focus on the discursive dimension of the construction of innovations and their induced power effects.
