• subject: (side) effects in coaching
Professional coaching has a positive effect, for example, on clients’ performance, self-regulation, work ethic and well-being. However, it can also cause unwanted side effects. On the client’s side, these include deep lying problems which can be triggered in coaching, but which can no longer be overcome, losing a sense of significance with regard to work or becoming dependent on the coach. On the coach’s side there are, for example, personal concerns or fear of not fulfilling the role of a coach, but also the sense of disappointment that long-term effects of coaching cannot be tracked.
This book explains what factors can lead to successful coaching and how to deal with any side effects. Coaching termination and the reasons for it are also discussed. A practical and science-based book helping you to deal professionally with the (side) effects in coaching.
