In every day-care group, there will be one or two children who have undergone a traumatic experience, for example, witnessing and experiencing violence and abuse, fleeing from war zones, death or being confronted with age-inappropriate content in digital media. These figures show that the subject of trauma is not some faraway problem; early-learning teaching staff can find themselves confronted with it in their everyday working lives. This practice book provides basic knowledge about traumatisation in children.
