This manual is a guide to systemic trauma counselling (STC). It is based on recommendations from the DEGPT (German Society for
Psychotraumatology) for trauma-focused specialist counselling and education and consequently does not contain any confrontational or integrative trauma therapy procedures, but rather focuses on the educational and stabilising aspects of trauma counselling.
The manual is oriented around resources and development and provides basic knowledge about psychological trauma, the most important impact
factors for the systemic approach and the humanistic approach. In addition, it presents concrete ways of applying the systemic multiperson
perspective and epistemology, for example in the form of the circular questioning technique and hypothesis-based work.
