Fifteen years old Leo lives together with his dad, who is becoming increasingly confused. When he goes missing one morning Leo seizes the moment: together with his best friend Henri, Leo starts producing the short film Death in Brachstedt – an adventurous escape from reality. While they go wild during filming, Leo ignores the pending catastrophe masterfully. It looms tangibly over Wagner’s emotionally gripping debut, which combines discomfort with lightness artfully.
